Do you think if I put my orchids in my bathroom, they will be better off?
I am just worried they will be too wet and rot
Thanks, DivineRanger! We grow in a greenhouse, so the humidity is pretty high most of the time. I think that is the trick to healthy air roots. I appreciate the kind remarks. Hope you have better luck in the future with your air roots.
Cheers, Bruce
I love all those air roots!
how do you keep them healthy? mine always dry out
Thanks for you kind comment. I have repotted phals both in bloom and in bud. The trick is to not disturb the roots too much. I think it is healthier for the plant than to leave it sitting in sphag. Good luck with yours! cheers, Bruce
Thank you for showing such a great video for repotting my phals!! I live in SW FL and sphagnum moss is nasty stuff in this humidity. Do you ever repot a new orchid that is in bloom if it’s packed in sphag, or do you wait until the blooms are done on the spike?
It is not available in stores. We make it ourselves in our greenhouse. Contact us through the OrchidTalk forum if you would like to buy some. There is a contact us link on the bottom of every page. We can only ship within the United States. Cheers, Bruce
hi, can you buy that type of mix in store or something comparable to it ?
